Greve - Ikast: 2-11

The energy in the air seemed surreal. Focused looks were all around me. Henriette had just played a fantastic rally giving her the lead. Those of us not playing were cheering on our team mate with our heart and souls.

Anders our trusty lone coach of the day was glancing back and forth along all four courts. What a lucky guy! We had started well with all four players winning their matches.

Sune was first on, and yes his form was on! He had his opponent running corner to corner and when he had the chance he flattened the shuttle down the line and all his opponent could do was watch in vain. Rodrigo, or better known at the club as the "ladies man", was ready to unleash his speed skill.

Now it was my turn! I had been looking forward to the trip to Copenhagen for many months to see what it would be like. Well it was very white. There was just a bit, or should I say, a lot of snow! LOL

With all the men's singles taken care of we were now in a good position to take all three points. Thanks to the effort of the ladies; Henriette, Maria, Gitte, and Kika, we would not let up on any points. They took their ladies doubles games with convincing score lines.

The team went on to win two of the three men's doubles giving us an 11-2 victory!

So with an inspiring effort from my team mates and coaches we had a successful day playing away from home.

We now go on to play an exciting team match against the team in first position. So please come along and give the Ikast teams a cheer as we fight to do our best for Ikast.
